Sheepie goes to the spa.

 

Sheepie is a well loved lamb who has arrived for a cleaning, mending and plumping.

Sheepie looks quite refreshed now!

A composition Effanbee doll

 

This doll is Effanbee's Anne Shirley or Little Lady doll.

She has arrived for a full composition makeover.

Her wig is not original to her. 

Her composition is in tough shape in some areas.

A structural crack in her head.

Many amputated fingers.

The eyes get removed for a full restoration like this.

The first job is to remove the old failing paint and sand the remaining paint.

The fingers get rebuilt gradually.

A wire support gets glued in for each one and then a finger gets built up with epoxy clay.

Meanwhile, her eyes get a bit of work done. The one eye needs eyelashes and the lids could use some touch up paint.

After a bit of paint she is ready to get restrung.

This is not how she would have been dressed or coifed originally but the dress was made by her owner and looks quite lovely on her. The wig is a 1980's vintage one.
