She arrives like this.
There is an obvious leg problem.
Her body is rather stained and has a variety of tears and mends.
After dismanling, she gets a good bath. Even her stuffing needed a wash!
Opening up the crier I find the only issue is that the seam on the bellows fabric had come apart. A bit of glue will fix that.
Then it is the usual....take apart the body to make a pattern.

ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely wonderful. I restored three Holly Hobbie friend dolls recently. That particular stuffing is really nice. It washes up really good. I like the weight of it. It adds a certain something to a doll. I've never seen it sold at a store, but I would definitely buy it to make dolls. This doll turned out really nice. Thank you for sharing.
